Belmont County Veterans Service Office    

The Belmont County Veterans Service Commission is a board of five veterans each representing a different service organization.  They are appointed by Judge Jennifer Sargus and hold five year terms.  They are responsible for the administrative operations of the office and to ensure the staff is receiving the amount of training required by the state.  They also are final approval on claims for financial assistance.

The Veterans Service Commission must attend training through the GOVA to stay on the board.  They are members of the Ohio State Association of County Veterans Serive Commissions (OSACVSC).

The Commission meets once a month on the first Friday of the month for the board meeting.  The meetings are held at the Belmont County Veterans Office, 100 West Main Street, Suite 104, St. Clairsville, OH at 10:00 AM.  The public is invited to attend.

February 6, 2009 the Board Meeting will be changed from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Belmont County Veterans Office.
