In March 2010 the Belmont County Veterans Office moved to Bellaire.  We have a much better office that is handicap accessible and has level parking.  Stop in and visit and have a cup of coffee.

If you are a veteran of WWII, Korea, or Vietnam era and you left high school to join the military or was drafted out of high school you may be eligible to receive your high school diploma.  Please contact our office for further information. 

 Ask about our "Coats for Veterans Kids" and our school shoe/supplies programs. 

Each year we try to help families with the expenses of the holiday season.  If you would like information on how to be placed on our list for grocery vouchers please contact our office.

Each year we need a new Financial Assistance application completed.  If you have not filled one out for 2012 please stop in an make sure you are up to date on all of your information.  If we do not have current contact information we can not notify you of new programs we have to offer.

We are in the process of working with different organizations from our area to bring the Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall to the Ohio Valley.  The event is scheduled for August and will be a joint effort with groups from Ohio, Marshall and Belmont Counties.  If you would like to become involved or your business/organization would like to help sponsor the event please contact our office.

VETERANS or their eligilbe dependents who are eligible for HEAP may also be eligible to have our office pay one of your heating bills between the months of November 1 thru March 31.  We are also paying electric bills from May 1 thru September 30.  Contact our office for more information.
